About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate cranes to lift, move, and position materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of cranes and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and load charts
- Communicate with ground crew using hand signals and two-way radios
- Monitor load weights and hydraulic pressure to avoid overload
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on cranes and equipment
- Assist in training and mentoring junior operators and laborers
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 3 years of experience operating cranes in a construction or industrial setting
- Valid certification for crane operation (e.g., NCCCO, CIC, or equivalent)
- Experience with rough terrain and tower cranes is an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and load charts
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability for shifts
