Crane Operator

Responsibilities

• Receive metal and deposit it in the appropriate location
• Unload trucks and verify material quality
• Move carcasses and other ferrous materials to the shredder loading area
• Transport non-ferrous material bins
• Load ferrous products for customers
• Perform material identification tests using appropriate products or magnets
• Evaluate cuts of non-salable items
• Conduct physical inventory of stock according to the established schedule
• Record material weights arriving and leaving the site in reports
• Grease and lubricate machine parts as needed
• Wash the machine when required

Requirements

• Ability to drive and operate heavy vehicles
• Construction equipment competency card
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role
• Strong commitment to Occupational Health and Safety
• Good priority management and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment

• Bilingualism (asset)
