Craftsperson

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the assembly, wiring, and testing of HV Switchgear Components and ancillary equipment
• Perform mechanical and electrical testing on various switchgear ranges
• Attend customer sites to carry out repairs, maintenance, and installations of HV switchgear
• Work from wiring diagrams, schedules, and engineering drawings to assemble cubicles
• Adhere to all QHS&E procedures, including risk assessments and maintaining housekeeping standards
• Participate in the training and development of the Service Centre team and apprentices
• Assist in the recording, measurement, and resolution of quality issues

Requirements

• Craft apprenticeship with NVQ/SVQ level 3 or equivalent
• Proficiency in working from wiring diagrams, schedules, and schemes
• Experience in mechanical assembly of electrical components
• Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
• Proven experience in wire checking and fault finding on control panels
• Valid FLT (Fork Lift Truck) License
• Valid Crane License
• Ability to operate Pendant Cranes and MEWPs (with correct training)
