CPU Verification Engineer

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of computer architecture, micro-architecture, logic design, and circuits to develop and verify high-performance, low-power CPU designs
• Identify and solve routine problems to ensure design completeness, functionality, power, and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, specifications, and technical trade-offs to meet product goals
• Assist in evaluating the design process from conceptualization through productization, including architecture definition and pre-silicon verification
• Write technical documentation such as feature descriptions, architectural descriptions, and verification test plans

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of computer architecture and micro-architecture
• Proficiency in logic design and circuit design

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• 1+ year of experience with high-level programming (C, C++) and scripting languages (Perl, Python)
• 1+ year of experience with industry-standard tools for synthesis, place and route, or design verification
• 1+ year of experience with simulation, emulation, formal verification, or silicon validation
• 1+ year of experience creating functional models, checkers, test plans, and test generation
