CPU Software Test Engineer (Server)

Responsibilities

• Create software/firmware test plans, addressing requirements traceability and test coverage.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated software/firmware test suites to verify product quality at functional, integration, and system levels.
• Manually test customer experience for installation and deployment of hardware and software in mobile, compute, and automotive environments.
• Assist in creating Quality Engineering and Release engineering processes with an emphasis on CI/CD.
• Implement customer use-cases and workload analysis models to ensure production-level software readiness.
• Identify opportunities for power and performance enhancements within existing operating systems and customer usage environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Experience in software or firmware validation.
• Knowledge of operating systems such as Ubuntu or RHEL.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Software/Firmware Validation.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated software test engineering with a focus on Data Center Servers.
• Strong understanding of software/firmware test automation techniques.
• Extensive experience with Ubuntu Server, RHEL, SUSE, or Windows Server.
• Experience developing automated test cases for server platforms to support bring-up and production releases.
• Prior experience with SW/FW integration at BIOS/UEFI, BMC firmware, or OS levels for x86/ARM64/RISC-V 64-bit server platforms.
