CPU Software Engineer Senior

Responsibilities

• Design and develop low-level firmware for CPU bootstrapping and power controllers
• Optimize micro-code for high-performance CPU architectures
• Architect HW/SW interfaces and manage CPU software/hardware design trade-offs
• Debug critical software issues related to high-performance microarchitecture, including prefetching, speculation, and memory ordering
• Define short and long-term software architecture roadmaps in alignment with Arm ISA evolution
• Represent CPU software teams in technical engagements with Arm architects and third-party partners like Google and Microsoft

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python
• Experience designing and developing software/firmware for embedded systems
• Strong knowledge of Arm CPU architecture (ARMv8 expertise is highly valued)
• Familiarity with Linux or Windows kernel internals
• Knowledge of ARM ecosystem specifications such as SCMI, PSCI, or TF-A

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RISC-V architecture
• Background in device driver development
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data mining and KPI interpretation
