CPU Firmware Verification and Validation/Sr Staff Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a global firmware verification and validation organization (Software QA)
• Oversee the end-to-end integration of high-performance CPU firmware stacks
• Define and refine automation strategies to optimize CI/CD cycles
• Manage resource allocation across multiple active and concurrent programs
• Implement risk management practices to ensure stability and reliability of production software
• Act as a key quality interface between production software organizations and customer engineering teams
• Provide career development, coaching, and technical leadership to a global workforce
• Contribute to firmware architecture and design with a focus on Design For Test (DFT)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 15 years of experience in embedded software/firmware quality
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python
• Proven experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) and automation
• Strong ability to communicate technical requirements and problem statements to cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience in SW/FW engineering with a focus on SoC solutions
• Proven knowledge of Windows, Linux, Android, and Python
• Strong experience in automation and scripting using Shell/Bash, Python, or Powershell
• Experience with C/C++ toolchains such as GCC, LLVM, or ARM-based toolchains
• Experience with SW/FW integration at BIOS/UEFI or Operating System levels (x86/ARM64/RISC-V)
• Experience deploying AI tools to accelerate software and firmware validation
