CPU Design Verification Sr Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead power management verification, including Boot, Reset, clock gating, power gating, voltage/frequency management, and throttling.
• Develop comprehensive test plans in close collaboration with CPU design and verification teams.
• Execute test plans using simulation and formal verification methodologies, including writing checkers and assertions.
• Verify power intent using methodologies such as UPF.
• Partner with system architects, software teams, and SoC teams to validate system use cases.
• Support verification on emulation and FPGA platforms by working with emulation teams.
• Debug and triage failures across simulation, emulation, and silicon environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of hardware engineering experience (or equivalent advanced degree with less experience).
• Proven experience in power management verification.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages.
• Strong knowledge of Verilog and SystemVerilog.
• Deep understanding of CPU architectures and power management features in CPU-based SoCs.

Preferred Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of digital logic design, microprocessors, and DFT architecture.
• Experience with advanced verification techniques, including formal verification and assertions.
• Knowledge of DFT and structural debug methodologies such as JTAG, IEEE1500, MBIST, and scan/memory dumps.
• Experience implementing assembly and C language embedded firmware.
