CPU Design Verification Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work with CPU and SOC Architects to validate high-level system requirements and micro-architectures
• Develop detailed Test and Coverage plans based on architecture and micro-architecture specifications
• Design and develop verification environments, including stimulus, checkers, assertions, trackers, and coverage
• Create verification methodologies that ensure scalability and portability across different environments
• Execute verification plans, including design bring-up, environment bring-up, and regression management
• Debug test failures and track progress using metrics such as bug counts and coverage data

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of Micro-Processor Verification and Architectures (e.g., Cache Coherence, Memory ordering, Branch Prediction, and Speculative execution)
• Experience with Random Instruction Sequencing (RIS) for proving correctness at Block, Unit, or Chip levels
• Proficiency in writing test plans, portable testbenches, transactors, and assembly code
• Hands-on experience with verification tools including Simulators, Coverage collection, and Formal Proof Tools
• Ability to work independently on specific design blocks or units
• Experience leading small teams of verification engineers is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced experience with Formal verification and Assertions
• Experience with Silicon bring-up processes
• Knowledge of Address Translation and Memory Management systems
