CPU Design Sr Staff Verification Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead power management verification, including Boot, Reset, clock gating, power gating, voltage/frequency management, and throttling.
• Partner with CPU design and verification teams to develop comprehensive test plans.
• Execute test plans using simulation and formal verification methodologies, including writing checkers and assertions.
• Verify power intent using methodologies such as UPF.
• Collaborate with system architects, software teams, and SoC teams to validate system use cases.
• Work with emulation teams to enable verification on emulators and FPGA platforms.
• Debug and triage failures across simulation, emulation, and silicon environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hardware engineering experience (or equivalent experience via Master's/PhD).
• Proven experience in power management verification.
• Proficiency in C/C++, scripting languages, and Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Experience implementing assembly and C language embedded firmware.
• Strong understanding of power management features in CPUs and CPU-based SoCs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep understanding of CPU architectures and micro-architectures.
• In-depth knowledge of digital logic design, microprocessors, and DFT architecture.
• Experience with advanced verification techniques such as formal verification and assertions.
• Knowledge of DFT and structural debug concepts (JTAG, IEEE1500, MBIST, scan/memory dumps).
