CPO II

Responsibilities

• Weigh, measure, prepare, and mix materials to create stock solutions and products according to work instructions and batch procedures.
• Operate large-scale equipment and reactors, including process monitoring, batch adjustments, and adding chemical or biological materials.
• Perform in-process testing (e.g., pH, conductivity), collect samples, and conduct basic troubleshooting or root-cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous chemicals and waste in compliance with safety regulations.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including full-face supplied air respirators, in a controlled environment.
• Maintain accurate production records, perform SAP transactions (goods issue/receipt, inventory transfers), and ensure all solutions are properly labeled.
• Decontaminate and prepare equipment for cleaning, servicing, or maintenance, and perform daily housekeeping to maintain a safe work area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4-6 years of chemical or biological production experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Strong math skills with the ability to convert units of measure and calculate ratios.
• Working knowledge of hazardous regulation compliance and waste water handling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English for business communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (AA/AS/AAS) or equivalent.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP.
