CPA (Certified Public Accountant)

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and sign off on a high volume of individual, business, and trust tax returns
• Oversee approximately 900 personal tax returns and several hundred business clients annually
• Review bookkeeping, financial statements, and accounting work completed by staff accountants
• Serve as the lead CPA providing guidance on day-to-day accounting and tax matters
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients as a trusted advisor
• Assist clients with tax planning and proactive financial recommendations
• Support and mentor junior accounting staff within a collaborative office culture

Requirements

• Active CPA license required
• Prior public accounting experience, preferably in a small or mid-sized firm
• Experience with individual, business, and trust tax returns
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping review and financial statement analysis
• Ability to manage direct client interaction and build professional relationships
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Must be able to work onsite full-time in Jacksonville
