About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level operational support to the Registrar and Registry staff, overseeing back-office services and administration.
- Support the administration of the Court, including maintaining regulations, rules, practice directions, and corporate documents.
- Manage the Registrar's diary, communications, meeting coordination, and drafting of correspondence or court orders.
- Liaise with IT teams regarding the eCourts Platform to identify and develop performance enhancements.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of the Courts' organizational and operational structures.
- Facilitate physical and IT infrastructure requirements for the Registry and courtroom operations.
- Provide precise information on court procedures to legal practitioners, litigants, and government agencies.
- Manage procurement, ERP, and general services needs for the Court.
- Support the Chief Justice and Judges with administrative matters, including invoice preparation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 6-8 years of administrative experience in a litigation environment within a common law system (court, law firm, or in-house legal department).
- Advanced knowledge of litigation processes, court policies, and procedures.
- Strong budgeting and financial reporting skills, including spreadsheet preparation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to liaise with senior management and the judiciary.
- High level of discretion, tact, and commitment to confidentiality.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous professional experience working in the UAE.
