About the role
Responsibilities
- Review subpoenas and prepare responsive documentation
- Appear in housing court representing the agency and complete required follow-through
- Analyze legal notices and enter relevant information into LSU and DTOR databases
- Conduct research and analysis of Agency records required for court production
- Prepare written summaries of case facts and organize documents for court submission
- Respond to inquiries on program hotlines and assist clients
- Maintain the LSU court calendar and update Agency records of court proceedings
- Represent the DTOR at community events and workshops
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree and two years of experience in community work or related activities; OR
- High school graduation/equivalent and six years of experience in community work or related activities
- At least one year of experience as described in the baccalaureate option
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual skills
- Experience with Section 8 or other rental subsidy programs
- Strong customer service focus
