Courier Driver

Responsibilities

• Drive a medium wheelbase van safely and courteously to collect samples from Fairlee and deliver them to the Otterbourne site
• Maintain vehicle fridge temperature control at all times to ensure sample integrity
• Complete accurate paperwork, including recording van temperatures and sample consignments
• Perform daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance, such as fluid top-ups and cleaning
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and ALS staff
• Maintain flexibility to accommodate additional collection requests and traffic delays
• Inform the Transport Manager of any client issues or pertinent information

Requirements

• Valid, up-to-date driving licence and a clean driving record
• Previous experience driving medium wheelbase vans
• Strong working knowledge of UK road networks
• Excellent communication skills and a professional disposition
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Self-motivated, proactive, and reliable with a flexible approach to work
