Country Manager/General Manager

Responsibilities

• Own full P&L for the Canadian market, including revenue growth, profitability, and cost control
• Define and execute the market entry and long-term expansion strategy in alignment with global leadership
• Drive GMV growth, customer acquisition, conversion rate optimization, and retention
• Oversee end-to-end local operations, including fulfillment, logistics, inventory planning, and last-mile delivery
• Build and lead a high-performing local team, fostering a culture aligned with Yami’s values
• Act as the primary bridge between HQ (US/China) and the Canadian team to ensure strategic alignment
• Leverage AI tools and data-driven systems to improve decision-making and operational efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
• 10–15+ years of progressive leadership experience in e-commerce, retail, or consumer-facing industries
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (written and verbal)
• Proven track record of full P&L ownership or leading a significant business unit
• Extensive experience in the North American market (Canadian market experience is a strong plus)
• Demonstrated ability to scale businesses from early-stage entry (0 to 1) to long-term growth
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
