Countermeasure Analyst

Responsibilities

• Define and execute threat hunts to identify undetected malicious activity within IT and OT environments
• Develop hypotheses, methodologies, and tooling to proactively search for indicators of compromise (IOCs) and indicators of attack (IOAs)
• Support Red team activities to simulate multi-layered attacks and test the effectiveness of security teams
• Detect and neutralize advanced threats early in the kill chain to minimize breach impact
• Tune security tooling and develop bespoke correlation rules, detection signatures, and behavioral analytics
• Serve as a key member of the Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) during major cyber incidents
• Collaborate with Threat Intelligence to groom threat feeds and translate findings into actionable defense

Requirements

• Three years of experience in cybersecurity
• Experience responding to significant cyber incidents involving Organized Crime and Nation State threat actors

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field
• Experience working in a Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC)
• Experience working across international manufacturing environments
• Knowledge of common network protocols, edge routing technologies, firewall/IDS/IPS, SIEM, and EDR/XDR
• Ability to communicate complex technical problems succinctly
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCIA, GCDA, GSOC, or GCIH
