Counter Salesperson/Shipper Receiver

Responsibilities

• Provide sales support to walk-in customers at the Profit Centre counter
• Research products and provide recommendations to customers
• Drive sales growth through counter merchandising and product promotion
• Enter, pick, and pack sales orders
• Verify incoming vendor shipments and customer returns against packing slips
• Identify and store special order or damaged material
• Drive the EMCO truck safely to deliver orders to job sites and customer facilities
• Secure loads properly in compliance with legislation
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety

Requirements

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or counter sales
• Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
• Ability to operate a delivery vehicle and material handling equipment
• Intermediate math skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with plumbing and building products
• Knowledge of commercial vehicle regulations
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience driving a truck for deliveries
