Counter Sales Representative

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with purchases, orders, and returns
• Drive electrical distribution sales and develop new and existing customer relationships
• Maintain the showroom and counter area by performing daily restocking and organization
• Assist with warehouse functions including receiving, shipping, stocking, and deliveries
• Stay educated on electrical product knowledge to provide accurate information to customers
• Inform management of any safety hazards or customer satisfaction issues

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of customer service or sales experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in electrical distribution or an electrical sales environment
• Knowledge of electrical products such as lighting, switchgear, and controls
• Familiarity with automated order entry systems and Windows-based software
• Previous branch experience
