Counter Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Engage customers proactively at the counter, via phone, and through email to understand needs and recommend solutions.
• Serve as a product expert in plumbing, HVAC, and related products to guide customer purchasing decisions.
• Drive sales growth by identifying opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and promote strategic products.
• Process transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy and a positive customer experience.
• Manage special orders, follow up on order status, backorders, and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales Associates to support account growth and seamless service.
• Assist with inventory management, cycle counts, and stock organization.
• Maintain a professional and organized counter environment and adhere to all safety regulations.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of customer service or sales experience.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Digital literacy and the ability to learn new computer systems quickly.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Previous experience in the plumbing or HVAC industry.
• Proven sales mindset with the ability to build professional relationships and influence decisions.
