Counter Sales Associate

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers daily via phone, email, and in-person to provide tailored solutions
• Process customer orders accurately and research parts and products to meet customer needs
• Manage customer relationships by following up on orders, delivery schedules, and backorder status
• Promote sales promotions and new product offerings to drive business growth
• Resolve customer issues and complaints with professionalism and empathy
• Handle pricing reviews, margin analysis, and credit or return requests
• Assist with warehouse activities including receiving, restocking, and inventory management
• Collaborate with regional sales, credit, billing, and shipping departments

Requirements

• 2-4 years of customer service experience in a sales or retail environment
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with cash handling and familiarity with POS systems
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the HVAC, industrial, or manufacturing sales industry
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and practices
• Warehouse operations experience or forklift certification
• Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
