About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical services including assessment, individual therapy, and group therapy for Marquette and MIAD students
- Deliver crisis intervention, consultation, and referral services for mental health and substance use needs
- Act as a liaison between the Counseling Center and integral campus offices to support student groups and outreach
- Develop referral networks to meet the extended mental health, physical, and spiritual needs of students
- Participate in university committees and task forces to represent culturally responsive support for students of color
- Provide training and in-services to clinical staff regarding professional development and licensure needs
- Supervise advanced-level practicum students and participate in the departmental training team
Requirements
- Master's degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, social work, or a related field
- Minimum of one year of professional experience
- Current Wisconsin licensure at the degree level, or eligibility to obtain licensure within one year of employment
- Ability to provide after-hours coverage (nights and weekends) as part of a shared semester rotation
- Demonstrated ability to provide culturally sensitive and responsive psychotherapy to unique student populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, social work, or a related field
- Three or more years of experience in group counseling or a university-based counseling center
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience working with the college-aged demographic, including non-traditional and professional school students
- Experience working with students with intersecting identities
- Experience with telebehavioral health services
