Counselor

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological counseling and crisis intervention for students
• Implement appropriate clinical assessments and treatment planning
• Facilitate group workshops, therapy sessions, and outreach series
• Build relationships within the campus community to reduce stigma and increase help-seeking
• Complete timely documentation in the EHR according to best practices
• Consult with the Director and counseling staff regarding risk management and referrals
• Participate in the Counselor on-call rotation

Requirements

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related clinical field
• Vermont licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure within 6 months
• 2 years of experience regarding student developmental stages (internships may count)
• Clinical experience in assessment, treatment planning, and crisis response
• Commitment to multicultural approaches and addressing intersecting identities
