Counselor

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health support for students, including assistance with depression, anxiety, and behavioral concerns
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions
• Serve as the primary contact for students in crisis and provide crisis intervention
• Offer consultation to faculty and staff regarding student academic and classroom support
• Develop and maintain a network of community agencies and resources for student referrals
• Provide educational outreach to the campus community to enhance student wellbeing
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, ADA, and Title IX standards

Requirements

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology, clinical social work, or social work from an accredited program
• Current licensure by the LA Board of Social Work Examiners and/or the LA Board of Professional Counselors
• 2-4 years of direct counseling or clinical experience
• Demonstrated high ethical standards

• Previous experience working in a college or university setting
