Counselor, Financial Aid and Scholarships

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships.
• Provide individualized counseling to students and families regarding federal aid, state scholarships, and eligibility.
• Advise students on satisfactory academic progress, renewal requirements, and professional judgment considerations.
• Manage intake and follow-up processes for students and parents regarding incomplete documentation.
• Assist with the completion of verification for student ISIR data as required.
• Deliver information effectively in both one-on-one and group settings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge.
• Experience in financial aid, student services, or a related field.
• Proven knowledge of federal aid processes and regulations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Basic mathematical skills and the ability to perform operations using American currency.
• Exceptional organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• A commitment to supporting the Christ-centered mission of Anderson University.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Workday.
• Experience with Department of Education systems or similar financial aid software.
