About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment for student patients
  • Deliver consultative, crisis, on-call, and outreach services to the campus community
  • Provide clinical supervision and training for the practicum training program and interns
  • Perform mental health outreach and awareness presentations to students, faculty, and staff
  • Manage clinical operations, including documentation, policy updates, and clinical protocols
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency and crisis situations
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with campus stakeholders and contribute to administrative tasks

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, professional counseling, or a related clinical mental health field
  • 2-3 years of clinical experience
  • Licensed to practice as a psychologist in the state of Connecticut
  • Experience working with diverse, multicultural, and LGBTQIA+ populations
  • Experience with specialized treatments such as trauma, eating disorders, or recovery (alcohol, drugs, internet)
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure within a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in clinical psychology (Ph.D./Psy.D.) from an APA-approved program
  • Experience specifically in college mental health settings
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a clinical or academic environment
