About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide psychological diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment for student patients
- Deliver consultative, crisis, on-call, and outreach services to the campus community
- Provide clinical supervision and training for the practicum training program and interns
- Perform mental health outreach and awareness presentations to students, faculty, and staff
- Manage clinical operations, including documentation, policy updates, and clinical protocols
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency and crisis situations
- Maintain collaborative relationships with campus stakeholders and contribute to administrative tasks
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work, professional counseling, or a related clinical mental health field
- 2-3 years of clinical experience
- Licensed to practice as a psychologist in the state of Connecticut
- Experience working with diverse, multicultural, and LGBTQIA+ populations
- Experience with specialized treatments such as trauma, eating disorders, or recovery (alcohol, drugs, internet)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure within a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in clinical psychology (Ph.D./Psy.D.) from an APA-approved program
- Experience specifically in college mental health settings
- Demonstrated leadership skills in a clinical or academic environment
