About the role
Responsibilities
- Review allegations of discrimination, with a specific focus on racial discrimination, and recommend appropriate courses of action.
- Provide confidential guidance and advice to staff regarding discrimination concerns and advise managers on prevention and management.
- Prepare legal opinions, case-related correspondence, and sensitive documents including investigation referrals and cautions.
- Conduct post-resolution monitoring to ensure no recurrence of problematic behavior and to address potential retaliation.
- Maintain accurate records and track inquiries within the case management system.
- Develop and deliver training and outreach programs to foster an anti-discrimination culture within the organization.
Requirements
- Master's degree in law, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), or a related field.
- At least five years of professional experience in workplace conflict resolution, investigation, or law.
- Proven experience addressing allegations of racism or other forms of discrimination through formal or informal mechanisms.
- Strong statistical data analysis skills to identify trends and systemic issues.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to draft concise reports and case summaries.
- Advanced interviewing skills, including active listening and the ability to elicit information from distressed individuals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within an international organization.
- Knowledge of workplace discrimination prevention frameworks and conflict resolution mechanisms.
