About the role
Responsibilities
- Support senior members of the legal department on business transactions including venue use, architecture, engineering, and construction agreements
- Prepare, review, and negotiate legal documents such as confidentiality agreements, MOUs, term sheets, and master services agreements
- Work with individual departments to identify and manage legal exposure and risk
- Review corporate and stakeholder documents including the Host City Contract and Olympic Charter
- Collaborate with outside counsel on matters requiring representation
- Ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and local laws
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in transactional matters
- Prior law firm and/or in-house experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school
- License to practice law and good standing with the California State Bar
- Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction, architecture, engineering, sports, real estate, or live-events
- Experience in public law, public contracting, lobbying, or gifting
