About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support senior members of the legal department on business transactions including venue use, architecture, engineering, and construction agreements
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate legal documents such as confidentiality agreements, MOUs, term sheets, and master services agreements
  • Work with individual departments to identify and manage legal exposure and risk
  • Review corporate and stakeholder documents including the Host City Contract and Olympic Charter
  • Collaborate with outside counsel on matters requiring representation
  • Ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and local laws

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in transactional matters
  • Prior law firm and/or in-house experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school
  • License to practice law and good standing with the California State Bar
  • Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in construction, architecture, engineering, sports, real estate, or live-events
  • Experience in public law, public contracting, lobbying, or gifting
