Counsel, Commercial - Vascular

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of commercial agreements, including business development, supply chain, sales, licensing, and research collaborations
• Provide sound, practical, and timely legal advice to internal clients regarding the operation of a commercial business marketing to healthcare professionals
• Review marketing programs and promotional materials to ensure compliance with FTC principles, Abbott policies, and applicable laws
• Resolve legal issues through negotiation and expertise, including pre-litigation dispute resolution and settlements
• Assist in creating new template agreements, playbooks, and training to support efficient contracting processes
• Maintain familiarity with laws affecting the business, such as Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, FDA regulations, HIPAA, and FCPA
• Manage and direct the work of outside counsel, including defining objectives and monitoring budgets

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admitted to a US state bar in good standing
• 3+ years of experience as a commercial attorney at a top law firm and/or in-house

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated industry
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to exercise sound commercial and legal judgment independently
