Counsel, Commercial & Marketing

Responsibilities

• Support senior members of the legal department on identified business transactions and legal matters
• Prepare, review, and negotiate legal documents including sponsorship, supply, activation, and licensing agreements
• Manage communications and relationships with business and strategic partners
• Implement legal team policies, procedures, and standard operating practices
• Supervise and assist in the career development of subordinate attorneys and paralegals
• Ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and local laws and regulations
• Work with outside counsel on matters requiring representation

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of legal experience
• Concrete transactional contract drafting and negotiating experience
• Background supporting commercial needs of a sports organization
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school
• Undergraduate degree from an accredited university
• License to practice law and good standing with the California State Bar
• Ability to work onsite in Downtown Los Angeles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in sports, media, entertainment, live events, or international transactions
• Prior law firm and/or in-house experience
