Counsel, Capital Markets

Responsibilities

• Support business development and trading functions by advising on customer transactions
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements relating to core business activities, including OTC, liquidity provision, and derivatives documentation
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Markets, Risk, Operations, and Compliance) on product development and assess legal complexities of new service offerings
• Provide strategic legal guidance on digital asset market making, derivatives, capital markets, and prime brokerage
• Lead legal-commercial negotiations for trading agreements and business line documentation
• Provide general support to the Markets and Products Legal team

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• 3-5 years of experience at a top-tier law firm
• Specialized experience in financial services and/or crypto
• Strong knowledge of capital markets, equities, derivatives, and prime brokerage
