About the Company

Antares is on a mission to make clean energy abundant from Earth to the Asteroid Belt. We are building mass-producible, inherently safe, deployable microreactors for terrestrial, underwater, and space applications. Our team includes veterans from SpaceX, MIT, and various National Laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first in-house legal hire and primary legal partner to leadership and cross-functional teams
• Support government contracts and funded programs, including proposal review and contract negotiation
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements such as NDAs, vendor, manufacturing, and SaaS agreements
• Build and own the export controls compliance program (ITAR/EAR)
• Manage and scope external counsel across specialized legal domains
• Define legal infrastructure, including contract lifecycle management and corporate governance
• Create scalable contract templates and negotiation playbooks

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership
• 5+ years of legal experience
• Experience with commercial contracts and regulatory matters
• Ability to work long hours and weekends as necessary to support critical milestones
• Ability to travel to regulatory locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing ITAR, EAR, or other export programs
• Broad experience in intellectual property and export compliance
• Proven success in a start-up environment
