About the role
Responsibilities
- Carry out cost studies by analyzing input data, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Identify and recommend ways to optimize system costs
- Drive cost/performance benchmarking and value analysis studies
- Build detailed study reports according to quality standards
- Participate in early need analysis and present study results to customers
- Assess workload, timelines, and technical risks for assigned projects
- Update technical content, guidelines, and internal tools
Requirements
- Engineering degree in mechanics, electronics, applied physics, automation, systems, or manufacturing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a major engineering company as a systems, technical design, or cost engineer
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing and assembly processes for Car Closures (doors, hoods, tailgates)
- Ability to develop technical cost estimates for tooling, material, labor, and overhead based on BOM
- Understanding of automotive production methods including stamping, assembly, and surface treatments
- Fluent English (minimum B2 level)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specialized stamping dies, injection molds, and assembly fixtures
- Expertise in material usage analysis (aluminum vs. steel) for closure systems
