Cost Modeling Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership for manufacturing processes, relocations, modifications, and alterations
• Establish project plans including scope, schedules, cost estimates, and acceptance criteria
• Lead sub-teams and collaborate with Operating Divisions, plant management, and broader project teams
• Act as a technical and functional expert within your discipline to ensure economic and technical success
• Participate in all project phases from initiation and planning through implementation and close-out
• Document key issues, action items, and decisions during project meetings
• Provide periodic updates to project and functional management
• Coach other engineers to share expertise and foster continuous organizational improvement
• Serve as a role model for safety within your area of responsibility

Requirements

• B.S. Engineering or equivalent technical degree
• Progressive experience in global technical and project leadership
• Proven ability to lead matrixed project teams and deliver scope on time and within budget
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills using quality tools (e.g., Kepner-Tregoe, Performance Excellence)
• Proficiency in MS Project or other project scheduling tools
• Effective written and verbal communication skills across all levels of an organization
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while remaining a collaborative team player

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working across multiple technical organizations or business units
• External professional recognition such as Green/Yellow/Black Belt, Lean, PMI, or Professional Engineering certification
• Existing network within the global technical community or with key external suppliers
• Familiarity with future Project Management Certification programs
