About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform pre and post-contract duties including cost estimates, procurement, tendering, and contract administration
- Complete feasibility studies and write procurement reports
- Execute cost planning and present final cost plans
- Manage tendering activities including pre-qualification, tender analysis, and compiling contractual documents
- Ensure timely and accurate cost checks and valuations
- Produce and present monthly post-contract cost reports to clients
- Interface with clients and consultants across all project stages
- Manage cost variances and change control processes
- Perform cost risk analysis, provide value engineering input, and negotiate final accounts
- Contribute to best practices in cost estimating
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or equivalent
- Fluency in English and Italian
- Proven cost or commercial management experience, ideally in consultancy
- 5+ years of experience for Cost Manager or 10+ years for Senior Cost Manager
- Strong knowledge of construction and procurement methods
- Proficiency with estimating tools, spreadsheets, and databases
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
