About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end cost management service delivery from pre-contract to handover
- Lead estimating and cost planning, including producing final cost plans
- Manage tendering and procurement processes, including pre-qualification and tender analysis
- Handle post-contract cost variances and change control processes
- Produce and present monthly post-contract cost reports to clients
- Negotiate and agree final accounts
- Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages
- Lead junior members of the cost management team where appropriate
Requirements
- Experience in the healthcare and/or education sectors
- Experience with JCT and NEC contracts
- Experience with Two-Stage tendering
- Ability to lead clients through project stages from feasibility to completion
- Experience in procurement management and contract administration
- Proficiency in CostX or similar measurement software
- Knowledge of value engineering and lifecycle costing
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in construction, cost management, or Quantity surveying
- MRICS qualification
- Experience in the Education sector
