Cost Manager/Senior Cost Manager (MEP)

Responsibilities

• Lead Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) deliverables within larger projects or manage direct MEP commissions
• Establish early budgets, provide early estimating, and develop cost plans
• Manage design teams to budget, oversee tendering and procurement, and deliver post-contract reporting
• Mentor Assistant Cost Managers and Cost Managers within the MEP team
• Collaborate with contractors and MEP supply chains to ensure effective relationships
• Support the development of MEP digital systems and tools

Requirements

• Proven track record in cost management or quantity surveying across the full project lifecycle
• Professionally qualified (RICS or similar) or working towards qualification
• Degree or HNC level qualification
• Experience in leveling and negotiating tender returns and issuing recommendations
• Experience running change control processes and cost negotiations
• Ability to review payment applications and manage final account reconciliations
• Capability to undertake basic counts using Cost X
• Ability to perform benchmarking using available data
