Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for construction projects, including MEPF services
• Conduct value engineering exercises to identify cost savings
• Manage tender processes, including prequalification, tender documents, and bid evaluation
• Negotiate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Draft and review contracts in line with FIDIC and JBCC standards
• Oversee post-contract cost control, including interim valuations and change orders
• Produce monthly cost reports with variance analysis and risk projections
• Manage internal project financials, forecasting, and invoice generation
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to project bids

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
• Professional Quantity Surveyor (PrQS) registration with SACQSP or RICS
• 8–10+ years of experience in quantity surveying within construction
• Proficiency in Dimension X (DIMX), CostX, WinQS, and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of commercial management and construction contracts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data centre projects
• Experience with MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire) services
