Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Act as a client-facing commercial partner, communicating cost status, risks, and recommendations
• Prepare cost plans, estimates, funding summaries, and cash flow forecasts for large-scale data center projects
• Collaborate with design teams, architects, engineers, and general contractors
• Lead pre- and post-contract cost management, including forecasting and contingency management
• Validate general contractor and subcontractor cost submissions, quantities, and pricing
• Estimate, negotiate, and reconcile change orders and variations
• Maintain commitment, contingency, and forecast models
• Manage interim valuations, cost checks, and payment support
• Participate in value engineering and cost optimization workshops
• Prepare executive-level cost reports and written commentary

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Experience in cost management or quantity surveying within the construction industry
• Experience with large-scale, complex, or mission-critical projects (data centers, industrial, or infrastructure)
• Strong post-contract administration and change management background
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Sage, or similar commercial management tools
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement strategies
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with data center construction, including MEP-intensive works and structural systems
