Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on procurement and commercial strategies, including vendor prequalification and bid assessment
• Manage estimating services for the full project lifecycle, including construction, fees, and direct works
• Establish cost reporting schedules and present forecasts and budget reviews to clients
• Oversee cost control processes, including payment application assessments and change order advice
• Monitor invoicing processes to ensure alignment with project cash flow and construction progress
• Benchmark performance against large-scale construction commissions using market data
• Manage final accounting processes, post-contract audits, and account close-outs
• Develop procedures for project handover and continuous improvement practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in the construction industry
• Experience supporting medium to large-scale, multi-phase construction programs
• Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• RICS accreditation or progress towards it
• Previous experience in construction consultancy
