About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic advice to clients on procurement routes and contracting strategies
- Lead and manage procurement processes including vendor prequalification and bid evaluation
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs and prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
- Manage estimating services and monitor project costs against approved budgets
- Prepare, assess, and certify interim payment applications
- Manage variations and change orders to mitigate risks
- Administer contracts and maintain detailed records of instructions and claims
- Prepare and agree final accounts and manage the final accounting process
- Collaborate with Quantity Surveying Leads, clients, and project managers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, or engineering
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction cost management
- Experience supporting cost management on medium or large sized construction projects
- Proficiency in measuring and cost management software systems
- Strong knowledge of Bills of Quantities (BOQs), contract management, and procurement
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- RICS accreditation or working towards it
- Construction consultancy experience
