Cost Manager

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on procurement strategies, vendor prequalification, and bid leveling
• Manage full project estimating services, including construction costs, fees, and value engineering recommendations
• Oversee cost reporting by establishing schedules, reviewing forecasts, and maintaining commercial risk registers
• Control project costs by reviewing payment applications, managing change orders, and resolving contractual disputes
• Monitor invoicing processes and benchmark performance against successful previous commissions
• Manage final accounting processes, post-contract audits, and project close-outs
• Conduct post-contract reviews to establish lessons learned and develop handover procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in cost management within the commercial real estate construction industry
• Experience supporting cost management for medium or large-scale construction projects
• Strong knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in a construction QS consultancy is strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• RICS accreditation or currently working towards it
