Cost Manager

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on cost strategies for commercial real estate projects, including tenant improvements and ground-up developments
• Manage prequalification of vendors, assess proposals, and manage the contractor appointment process
• Develop detailed project estimates across all project phases, including construction, general conditions, and soft costs
• Manage cost reporting, establish reporting schedules, and track project budgets and spend forecasts
• Oversee cost control processes, including reviewing payment applications and evaluating change order requests
• Benchmark project cost performance against comparable commercial real estate projects
• Lead final accounting, post-contract audits, and project closeouts
• Conduct post-project reviews to document lessons learned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying for commercial real estate (TI, fit-out, or ground-up)
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, procurement strategies, and value engineering
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• RICS accreditation or actively working toward accreditation
• Experience supporting cost management on medium to large-scale commercial construction projects
• Prior QS consultancy experience
