Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Support cost management activities from early-stage budgeting and procurement through post-contract cost control and final account closeout
• Prepare and present detailed cost plans, estimates, and budgets aligned with project scope and objectives
• Monitor actual costs against forecasts during construction and recommend corrective actions
• Review and validate change orders to ensure proper documentation and contractual compliance
• Track contingencies, commitments, and cost impacts across multiple project phases
• Prepare and deliver cost reports, forecasts, and presentations for stakeholders
• Contribute to procurement strategies, bid analysis, and contractor negotiations
• Support value engineering and design optimization to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Collaborate with project managers and design teams to align scope, budget, and schedule

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in a cost management or project controls role
• Experience with large-scale construction projects (data center or mission-critical experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of cost planning, budgeting, and change management
• Proficiency in cost management tools, Microsoft Office, and cloud-based applications
• Ability to maintain a regular onsite presence in the Midland, Texas area

Preferred Qualifications

• RICS accreditation or progress toward accreditation
• Familiarity with MEP systems
