Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on cost and procurement strategies, manage vendor prequalification, and lead bid interviews and appointment processes.
• Manage estimating services across full project lifecycles, including developing project estimates, providing value engineering recommendations, and conducting risk assessments.
• Oversee cost reporting by establishing schedules, reviewing forecasts, and maintaining commercial risk registers.
• Control costs by reviewing payment applications, managing change order requests, and applying dispute resolution procedures.
• Monitor the invoicing process to ensure alignment with project delivery and financial controls.
• Manage final accounting processes, post-contract audits, and account closeouts.
• Conduct post-contract reviews to document lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in a cost management or quantity surveying role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes and value engineering.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• RICS accreditation or progress toward accreditation.
• Experience supporting cost management on medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Previous experience in construction consultancy.
