About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage pre-contract cost management including cost planning, estimating, budget development, and tender documentation
- Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency budgets
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering initiatives
- Prepare regular reports on project costs and deviations from budget
- Provide expert advice on cost-effective solutions using CostX
- Collaborate with clients, design teams, and stakeholders to align on cost strategies
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Support the development of cost benchmarks for the UAE market
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in cost management with a focus on pre-contract activities
- Proven experience in the UAE market
- Proficiency with CostX measurement software
- Knowledge of NRM, POMI, and CESMM methods of measurement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional membership such as MRICS
