About the role
Responsibilities
- Draft and review costs schedules, statements of costs, and detailed bills of costs
- Analyse and provide commentary on equivalent documents submitted by opposing parties
- Advise on costs budgets and prepare client estimates
- Produce and advise on supporting schedules for applications seeking security for costs and requests for interim payments on account
- Collaborate with litigators to provide strategic advice on costs recovery and related procedural issues
Requirements
- Qualified Cost Lawyer or experienced Draftsperson
- Experience working with London City firms or large commercial practices
- Experience dealing with shipping disputes and arbitration proceedings
- Strong numeracy, Excel, writing, and communication skills
- Experience with AI and CostsMaster is highly desirable
