Cost Estimation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review multi-disciplinary cost estimates for various stages of the project lifecycle, including conceptual, preliminary, and definitive phases.
• Analyze project requirements and specifications to determine cost-effective solutions and identify optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate with project teams and Subject Matter Experts to resolve estimating queries and ensure high-quality estimates.
• Document all assumptions and clarifications clearly within the estimating process.
• Support the procurement process by providing cost analysis, evaluating vendor proposals, and making recommendations for vendor selection.
• Identify and evaluate capital efficiency opportunities and project risks.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management from a recognized university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in EPC or Project Management within the Oil and Gas industry.
• Minimum 3 years of experience specifically in cost estimation or proposal execution.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and strong presentation skills.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements in the energy sector.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-changing environment.
• Willingness to relocate to Bengaluru and work in shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cost estimation and execution of brownfield projects.
• Experience using cost estimation software such as Aspen CCE.
• Prior experience interfacing with contractors or remote teams across multiple countries in the energy sector.
• Experience in training or mentoring new employees.
