About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare multi-disciplinary cost estimates for medium and large projects using appropriate tools and systems
- Develop detailed cost estimates across various project stages, including conceptual, preliminary, and definitive phases
- Analyze project requirements and specifications to determine cost-effective solutions
- Coordinate with project teams and Subject Matter Experts to resolve estimating queries and ensure quality
- Document all assumptions and clarifications clearly
- Support selection and optimization studies during project development
- Identify and drive optimizations in project cost and execution
- Support the procurement process by providing cost analysis and recommendations for vendor selection
- Evaluate vendor proposals and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management
- Minimum 3 years of experience in EPC or Project Management within the Oil and Gas industry
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cost estimation or proposal execution
- Proficiency in MS Excel and strong presentation skills
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Strong understanding of cost estimating techniques, risk management, and mitigation strategies
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-changing environment
- Willingness to relocate to Bengaluru and work in shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cost estimation and execution of brownfield projects
- Experience using cost estimation software such as Aspen CCE
- Prior experience interfacing with contractors or remote teams across multiple countries in the energy sector
- Experience in training or mentoring new employees
