Cost Estimation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare multi-disciplinary cost estimates for medium and large projects using appropriate tools and systems
• Develop detailed cost estimates across various project stages, including conceptual, preliminary, and definitive phases
• Analyze project requirements and specifications to determine cost-effective solutions
• Coordinate with project teams and Subject Matter Experts to resolve estimating queries and ensure quality
• Document all assumptions and clarifications clearly
• Support selection and optimization studies during project development
• Identify and drive optimizations in project cost and execution
• Support the procurement process by providing cost analysis and recommendations for vendor selection
• Evaluate vendor proposals and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management
• Minimum 3 years of experience in EPC or Project Management within the Oil and Gas industry
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cost estimation or proposal execution
• Proficiency in MS Excel and strong presentation skills
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Strong understanding of cost estimating techniques, risk management, and mitigation strategies
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-changing environment
• Willingness to relocate to Bengaluru and work in shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cost estimation and execution of brownfield projects
• Experience using cost estimation software such as Aspen CCE
• Prior experience interfacing with contractors or remote teams across multiple countries in the energy sector
• Experience in training or mentoring new employees
