Cost Estimation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review multi-disciplinary cost estimates for various project stages, including conceptual, preliminary, and definitive phases.
• Analyze project requirements and specifications to determine cost-effective solutions and identify optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate with project teams and Subject Matter Experts to resolve estimating queries and ensure estimate quality.
• Perform cost reconciliation, validations, and benchmarking using internal and external data.
• Support the procurement process by providing cost analysis and evaluating vendor proposals and contracts.
• Mentor other cost engineers and contribute to the Lessons Learnt process throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain and ensure the accuracy of cost databases and estimation tools.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management from a recognized university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in EPC or Project Management within the Oil and Gas industry.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cost estimation or proposal execution.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and strong presentation skills.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-changing environment.
• Willingness to relocate to Bengaluru and work in shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cost estimation and execution of brownfield projects.
• Experience using cost estimation software such as Aspen CCE.
• Prior experience interfacing with contractors or remote teams across multiple countries in the energy sector.
• Experience in training or mentoring new employees.
